This Privacy Policy explains how AquaMeter collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website (aquameter.pt) and the AquaMeter mobile application. We respect your privacy and process data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Mobile Application (Bluetooth and Location)
Our application connects to the AquaMeter device via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
- Location Permissions: On Android, location access is a technical requirement for detecting Bluetooth devices. We do not collect, store, or share your physical location. This permission is used exclusively to establish a technical connection with the hardware.
- Consumption Data: The app reads flow and consumption data (liters) from the hardware. This data is stored locally on your smartphone only and is not uploaded to external servers.
3. Data Collected on the Website
To process orders, we collect only the strictly necessary data:
- Identification Data: Name, email address, and shipping address for order processing and delivery.
- Payments: Payments are processed by secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). AquaMeter does not store credit card details or bank information.
4. Data Sharing and Retention
Your data is only shared with third parties necessary for service execution (carriers for delivery and payment processors). We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for tax purposes, legal obligations, and warranty management.
